Compliance

Better to do something suboptimally than give up and not do it at all.

Examples;

  • a small treat or a weekly cheat day is better than being unhappy and giving up on a diet or tracking & controlling calories and/or macros
  • if you dislike a particular exercise or routine at the gym, find something else that you like better that still helps you meet your goals

Related to consistency, discipline and willpower.

General good mental health is helpful.
