Time Sensitive Factors
Allergies
Babies should be exposed to allergenic foods such as peanuts at an age between 6 and 12 months to minimise the risk of them developing allergies later in life.
Bone Mineral Density
Humans should build bone mineral levels before approximately 21 as they don't increase after this age. This provides a buffer for the unavoidable loss that occurs later in life, whilst not weakening your bones to a dangerous degree.
Honey
Honey should not be given to or consumed by children under one year old. This is because it may contain clostridium botulinum bacteria endospores. These endospores may colonise the gut with clostridium botulinum bacteria which produces botulinum neurotoxin (BoNT), which is the most potent and deadly (neuro)toxin known to humans. This neurotoxin can lead to infant botulism, a rare but potentially fatal illness.
Eyes
A lack of sunlight exposure when young is the cause for short sightedness (myopia) at an early age. Looking closely at screens (be that phones, tablets or televisions) is not the cause, but is often the reason for a lack of sunlight exposure.
