- Magnesium (also the M in ZMA)

Delay taking any supplements for 30-60 minutes after consuming coffee as it contains compounds (polyphenols) that limit the absorption of many micronutrients.
Do You Need to Supplement?
Probably not, although those with illnesses that can lead to dehydration such as norovirus may find them beneficial.1
Make Your Own Electrolyte Drink
Mix ⅓ fruit juice mixed with ⅔ water with just enough salt that you can taste it. This should provide a 6% carbohydrate and electrolyte solution.1
Eating is just as effective.
