Liraglutide

Sold under the brand names; Saxenda & Victoza and approved for use (depending on the brand) for weight management, blood glucose management and cardiovascular risk reduction.

Liraglutide binds to, and activates, the GLP-1 (glucagon-like peptide-1) receptor to increase insulin secretion, suppress glucagon secretion, and slow gastric emptying.1
